"Starting Point"
Pastor Jim Johnson leads this informational class every Sunday at 10:00 a.m.   This class is for interested inquirers or new members.  Pastor Jim Johnson introduces Good Shepherd Lutheran's ministry and vision, and leads the class through the basic beliefs and doctrines.


Exodus: a College-Level Study (Wednesdays at 4 p.m.)

Our church offers a college-level course on Wednesday under the auspices of The Shepherds School of the Bible.  This advanced course is recommended to mature believers who want to prepare for spiritual leadership and ministry. The 30-hour course runs Wednesdays, 4 to 6 p.m. Cost is $50, including textsbooks. Two to four hours of homework per week. Lecture style, four papers required, Bible memory continues through the course, NASB, ESV or NJKB recommended. Course instructor: Pastor James L. Johnson. Good Shepherd offers three tracks for the Beth Moore series this year. The first track, "Revelation" opens this summer, beginning July 11 at 6:30 on Monday nights, with facilitator Chris Rust. In the fall, Linda Johnson will host two tracks -- Thursday mornings and Sunday afternoons -- for the "Daniel" study. Need help with your finances? We're here to help! Train with us as we explore principles in God's Word that bring freedom. Good Shepherd offers a 15-weekcourse on "Financial Peace" by Dave Ramsey on Friday nights this spring. Class time runs from 7 to 9 p.m. Childcare is provided. Cost is $99 (individual or couples). Scholarships available. Course material helps believers handle money and grow toward financial freedom, using Biblical concepts of money management.
