About "CRAVE" Youth Ministry The Good Shepherd youth ministries, "CRAVE," meets in homes and at Good Shepherd's church campus. You can find us at 380 Arneill Rd. in Central Camarillo. Crave gets its name from 1 Peter 2:2-3, which says, "Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good." We want students to crave the Word of God, spending time in the Bible every day. High School Ministry Team:Jared Langness and Naomi Andrews work as volunteer leaders in our High School student ministry. Jared is a graduate of Northwestern College in Minnesota and teaches full-time at Oaks Christian in Thousand Oaks.
Naomi serves Good Shepherd in church administration. Naomi finished a Biblical studies degree at the Association Free Lutheran Bible School and Ministry Training Institute in Minneapolis in 2003 and 2005.
Middle School Ministry Team:Pastor Jim and Linda Johnson and their family came to Camarillo from Minneapolis in 2006. The Johnsons have served in ministry for the past 25 years -- training at Free Lutheran Seminary in Minneapolis and at a vibrant church in Lake Stevens, Washington. After being ordained in 1992, Jim has served in three primary locations with Linda: four years in Fosston, Minnesota, 10 years as dean and teacher at a college-level Bible School in Minneapolis called AFLBS, and now here in Southern California. They are raising their family in Camarillo and now live in a community near the sports park called Village at the Park. Jim and Linda were married in 1987 and love working together in ministry to strengthen marriages, build families, and encourage believers to grow.
We’re praying for other like-minded, advisors who want to serve on the team and point others to Christ and love students. If you know of other candidates, please contact us.
"Thanks for caring about students who want to become followers of Jesus Christ."
