Small Groups at Good Shepherd

Fall 2011

Good Shepherd offers a slate of small groups that can help believers, new and old, to grow. These 60-to- 90-minute gatherings could be just what you need. Some meet at 380 Arneill Road, some in homes, some in restaurants and some in parks.  People from all levels of spiritual life are welcome. CHILDREN                     
Outreach Sports Clinics (ages 5 to 11)  Cultivate leadership and pray for children in the community. Fall/Winter; Fridays 1:30—3:00 pm at Valle Lindo Park.   

Girls of Promise—Girls (ages 7-12)  Developing character that reflects Jesus and building friendships that center on Him.  First  & Third Wednesdays of each month;  6:30 pm  

"The Rock" - Boys (ages 8-12)   Emphasize Bible study, sports and godly character. First & Third Sunday of each month, 3:30—5:30 pm 

Children's Church - Sundays, 11:30 a.m. during the Fresh Start Worship Service at the Preschool.  Children 4 to 9 years of age. 

Brownie Troop - Meets every other Thursday, 3:45 p.m.  September - May;  Troop Leader: Michelle Aliano

Cub Scouts   Meets First and Second Tuesday on each month, 6:15-8:30 p.m.  September - May;  Cub Scout Leader: Jeff DeVico

 
YOUTH                             

"Crave" Student Group  - Friendly, spiritual teen support group.  Grades 6-12; Sundays, 5:30 pm  at 380 Arneill Road Campus 

Confirm-It  (6th-8th graders) Learn basics of Christianity-Luther's Small Catechism,  Sundays, 10:00 am

Leadership 365  Training spiritual leaders for the next generation.  Grades 9-12, Sundays 10:00 am.

"Coffee & Cocoa with Hannah & Anna" Junior High/High School girls  Saturdays  

Small Group Youth Outings Various activities for groups of 5 students.  Fridays & Saturdays.

Luther's Attic Thrift Store, Moorpark Fridays and evry third Saturdays;  Shifts 10:00 am—1:00 pm and/or 1:00—4:00 pm.  

Casa Pacifica Knitting/Crochet Class  - Teach knitting and/or crocheting to Casa Pacifica children. Must be accepted by Casa Pacifica.

Gideons at Ventura Rescue Mission  Gideon members lead worship on First and Fifth Saturdays of each month, 7:00 pm.
